“At the end of January 2022, a urologist prescribed me Levofloxacin for minor annoyances I was experiencing in my urinary tract. He did not request a lab test or warn me about the dangers of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Only three pills were enough to leave me in a wheelchair and suffering from multiple side effects.

My family doctor diagnosed me with an “auto-immune disease”, Other doctors I contacted had no idea how to help me. It took me two months to conclude that I was suffering from an acute case of fluoroquinolone toxicity and that I needed to look for professional help fast. During that time, my health kept deteriorating, and it was getting worse every week. At that time, I was disabled and almost bedridden.

I found Sujata through the internet site Floxihope. After reading her recovery story, I immediately contacted her. Since our first Zoom meeting, she treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion. As a pharmacist, she follows a method to help her clients that involves the use of supplements, nutrition, mindfulness, and breathing techniques. She was also honest with me from the beginning, explaining to me that there were no warranties in the outcome but that we would try everything in her toolbox to help me in my recovery. Getting help from somebody that has been able to fully recover from FQ toxicity gave me hope every time we met.

Being affected by FQ toxicity is a life-changing event. It does not only ruin your health, but it also affects your entire life and may cause deep psychological wounds. During my poisoning and recovery, my whole life fell apart. Sujata was able to provide me with good psychological support and helped me heal the PTSD, which is common in people injured by pharmaceutical drugs.

My journey with Sujata lasted 9 months, as she also helped me with the BIND (benzodiazepine-induced neurological damage) caused by the sporadic use of Clonazepam that I took to deal with the severe insomnia induced by the Levofloxacin. During that whole time, she was always there for me, quickly answering my messages or even doing an emergency video call at the worst times. I always felt from her a genuine desire for me to get better and recover.

I have been fortunate, and I am grateful for having recovered. It takes time, but a full recovery is possible. Sujata, many others, and I have fully recovered from the devastating effects of fluoroquinolones, so don´t lose hope.” – Andres Garces Ojeda

“Sujata transcends and encompasses everything you know of and need in a medical professional, therapist, guru, mother and best friend. With kindness to others and yourself as the foundation, she leverages a spectrum of tools that get to the root cause of mental and physical pain. It’s beautiful, raw and transformative to have even one conversation with her let alone complete a program together. Sujata surpasses what you think you need to heal, and truly allows your mind and body to accept your own realities through the process. One of my favorite lessons she shares defines what “showing up” means in life and while on this  journey together. Remove self judgement, remove boundaries and expectations – “Did you show up for this discussion?”, if yes, that is often all that matters. Accept, surrender, live in the present moment. The foundations learned with Sujata help put this into motion, and for me led to transformational change.”  – Jonathan, Total Wellness 3 Month Program

“When I found Sujata, I had just lost my mother. I was in total disarray, and I wanted to find something that would help me find peace. I remembered doing yoga in college, and how relaxing it was. So I started searching around for places around me that offered yoga, and I stumbled upon, “Wellness with Sujata”. Little did I know at the time, that this simple find would change my life. After looking over her website, I noticed it mentioned that she is not only a yoga instructor, but so much more; she’s a life coach, a healer, and a support system.

I knew then, that I wanted to do more than just yoga, I wanted to completely change the way I was living my life. I wanted to be healthy and happy, and I was willing to do anything to do it. So I started going to yoga, which then led to setting up a personal meeting with Sujata for a full emotional and physical health assessment. She listened to me, and actually cared about what I was saying, and feeling, and took immediate action into getting me feeling better. Through her research, experience and recommendations, I was able to quickly get on the road to recovery. The best part about seeing Sujata, is that she never left me to feel alone. She was always there to guide me in the right direction, and give me continuous support to stay strong when it was so easy to give up on myself.

I am now proud to say that after 5 months of support from Sujata through yoga, meditation and supplement therapy, I not only am feeling stronger than I ever have emotionally, but my overall health has made a drastic turnaround. My co-workers, family and friends have even noticed the new me that shines brighter and smiles more often. I cannot thank her enough, for the wellness that Sujata has brought to me.” – Jill

It was four and half months after being floxed (Fluoroquinolone Toxicity from taking Levofloxacin). I was in really bad shape and searching for anything or anyone who could help me. A Facebook prayer request from my sister-in-law was responded to by a friend who said, “I know someone who has the same thing…” It was a God moment for me. Someone has the same issue as me, lives in the same community, and is recovering. What I didn’t know at the time, was how much of an impact the person I was about to meet would have on my life. The information Sujata Patel would share with me, allowed me to begin the healing process, help others heal, and stop others from ever having to go through it.

I met Sujata on September 3, 2014. Sujata is an amazing human being. She is caring, compassionate, loving, smart, and intelligent. She spent an hour on the phone with me the first night we met, mostly just listening, but also sharing what she was able to learn through her research and experience. The next morning I received an email with a supplement and daily regimen to begin the healing process. Not long after I received the email, she came to my house with supplements in hand. What makes this story even more mind blowing, Sujata is a pharmacist. She knew other pharmacists. She has family members who are doctors. She was quickly able to put the pieces of the puzzle together on what was happening to her body from a molecular level. She broke down how the Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic reacts in the body and the effects of a drug that uses Fluoride, which crosses the blood brain barrier, to deliver an antibiotic designed to fight Anthrax. She used her education, experience, science, and her network to solve a very complicated and life altering situation.

We don’t know the long term effects of Fluoroquinolones, but today, I am living life again. Honestly, it is not the same, but when I look back on where I was, struggling to walk, talk, eat, or be a functional human being, I have progressed considerably. While I am not completely healed, still having daily pain and various symptoms, I am able to function normally. I firmly believe the progress I made was dramatically improved by the efforts of Sujata and her compassion for others.” -Nick Conley

I have been struggling with negative body image, negative self-talk, and perfectionism for as long as I can remember. I was a ballet dancer for almost 15 years, and the majority of that time was spent in front of mirrors- where I learned how to create a very powerful inner critic- who ended up dictating the majority of my life. I spent years obsessing over my appearance, how much I weighed, how much I ate, how my clothes felt and how much I worked out. I ended up on a cycle of losing and gaining weight, having numerous sports injuries, trialing antidepressants; all while trying to quiet that inner critic. I had created a monster inside of my heart –and she controlled everything.

My path crossed with Sujata’s one evening when my husband and I were driving to dinner. I had just been crying because my jeans felt too tight and I was afraid people would be looking at my stomach. My husband and I were trying to come up with solutions- so I could finally make peace with myself and enjoy my life. This was a constant push-pull for us; and we were no stranger to this conversation. We were stopped at an intersection when I noticed a small yoga studio. I remembered how I used to practice yoga in the past. My favorite part was that I could use by body to express myself, which is what I loved about dance. But with yoga, there are no mirrors. I missed that healthy connection with mind and body. The next morning, I emailed Sujata and told her my story and why I wanted to practice yoga again.

Sujata and I have been working together since early spring of 2015. From the very beginning, Sujata welcomed me into her studio with a warm smile and loving spirit. I immediately felt comfortable working with her; as she is so patient and non-judging. Sujata helped me learn to listen to my body-instead of fighting it; she taught me how be gentle with myself. Her yoga class is amazing and relaxing. Sujata encourages me to challenge myself when it feels good and to be gentle with myself if I’m simply not feeling it that day. I always feel so rejuvenated at the end of each class-it’s always an awesome experience!

After a few months of yoga classes, I began learning how to meditate. This was a wonderful experience! The sessions were incredibly personalized, and I felt like I was making progress each time. We worked on being still, healing my heart chakra, and learning to trust the universe. Meditation is truly a practice, but it will transform your outlook on life and open your heart. After about a month of meditating, I noticed that I felt lighter. I also felt as if my urge to plan and control my life was diminishing. I was finally beginning to trust myself and the universe. Everything felt simpler.

Sujata also gave me a health assessment; where she analyzed my sleep, energy, moods, exercise, and eating habits. I had been working really hard in the gym and eating well; but didn’t feel that great and was very tired. After a thorough assessment, Sujata suggested that I might be suffering from adrenal fatigue. I had completely over-worked myself and needed to rest. Sujata gave me great suggestions on how to nourish myself by doing things that I love. I really loved how we created this plan as a team. Sujata recommended nutritional supplements that would support and heal the adrenals. I have been taking them for about 3 months and am really feeling a difference in my energy. I used to be exhausted by 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon; but after beginning the adrenal support supplements, I am no longer suffering from afternoon fatigue. Additionally, I stopped taking my sleep medication and I am sleeping so much better than before. Sujata truly understands the body’s needs and has expert knowledge in how to support them naturally. She even checked in on me numerous times to see how my energy levels were, and how I was adjusting to the new supplements.

Sujata is such an incredible person-she has a beautiful gift of deep compassion and understanding. I can’t say enough about how much she has helped me over the past few years. I am still working on self-love and learning to silence my inner critic. Whenever I feel like I’m wandering off of my path, Sujata gently reminds me to meditate and to be kind to myself. I’m so very grateful that she came into my life-she is truly amazing.” – Holly Byall

“What can I say about this great lady? A lot!! Sujata was the first yoga teacher I had. I decided to try yoga because she teaches it. Since then, I have been to other yoga studios and have had a few other instructors. But once you have Sujata, no one can duplicate her! Sujata is very loving and helpful when it comes to women’s health issues. I mentioned some problems I had and she referred me to a specialist that helped me a great deal. Also, at Sujata’s introduction, I received a very gentle liver cleanse that was extremely effective. Once you meet this lady, you will know what I mean. And what a cool name!”

“I can only say wonderful things about Sujata’s yoga class and way of instruction. She has such a calming voice throughout the class and takes into consideration, every students needs. She has been my first instructor and I have tried dvd’s and other yoga classes, but none comes close in comparison on how she runs the class. I always leave the class refresh, energized and in a better mind set. I look forward to every class and reaping the benefits of yoga! Namaste.” – Lori Jones, CT Technologist at AGMC Health and Wellness West

“One of the most important things I have learned over the years is that in order to be the best person and counselor possible, I need to continually be working on myself. The past few years almost everything I have read or heard about in continuing education workshops was how effective meditation is for mood, sleep and an overall sense of well-being. In October I finally decided to take the plunge and asked Sujata to guide me on this new journey. It is one of the best decisions I ever made. At first I thought there was no possible way with my busy schedule that I could take out time twice a day to just be still and clear. Very quickly the benefits became apparent. Not only was I sleeping better and feeling less stressed and more in the moment, but I also was getting more done instead of less. When at times I became discouraged with my inability to stay in the moment, Sujata was there to remind me to be kinder, gentler and less judgemental with myself and that there is no report card or wrong way to meditate. I continue to reap the benefits of meditation and intend to for a lifetime and am so thankful for Sujata and her ongoing encouragement and insight.” – Ruth Friend, Professional Clinical Counselor.

“After the death of my mom I had a very difficult time dealing with my grief. I attempted counseling, tried to deal with it on my own, and even pretended it didn’t happen, but nothing helped. I struggled with my feelings for years and thought that this was just how I was going to feel for the rest of my life. It was depressing and a difficult way to live, but I had resigned myself to it. Then Sujata began offering emotional release meditation. Let me just say that I am not a spiritual person in much of any sense, so the thought of meditating was kind of comical to me at first. However, the more I thought about it the more I was like “I have nothing to lose.” Soon after coming to that realization I began my classes with Sujata and have never looked back. From the first time that we met I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. While delving into my grief (I had boxed it up years ago) was hard I felt so much better afterward. The meditation helped me to deal with my emotions and brought a calmness to the rest of my life. After meditating for a few weeks I noticed that I reacted to situations differently and approached situations from a new viewpoint. I carried less anger and stress, it was an amazing feeling to let those emotions go! You never realize how much impact they have on your life until they are not there.

In addition to my new-found tranquility I also started having what can only be described as incredible experiences while meditating. I have absolutely no doubt that I have spent time with my mom on another plane. I cannot even begin to describe to you what that felt like, but I would wish that experience to everyone who has lost a loved one.

Through my meditation I was able to let go of a lot of my grief and pain. I would recommend emotional release meditation with Sujata to anyone who is struggling with difficult feelings in any situation. Sujata is a gifted instructor who never fails to make you feel comfortable. The decision to work with Sujata was one of the single best decisions I have ever made.” – Michelle L. Sutton, M.Ed.

“Back in January of 2016 I was at my lowest point. We had a job change that required a pay cut and a lot of long hours. Things fell on me as far as the house hold. Adding to that was the strain on our marriage because we took it out on each other when my husband did come home exhausted himself. My health was failing, I was gaining weight and as a personal trainer felt like I was failing my clients cause if I couldn’t be fit how could I help them. I would go train my clients in the morning and all I thought about was how I could go home and take a nap.

Finally, as I laid on the couch feeling sorry for myself I opened wellnesswithsujata.com and wrote an email to her as I cried my eyes out. This was a Saturday, so I didn’t expect to hear from her until at least Monday. So, when the phone rang I didn’t feel like getting up off the couch to answer it. I couldn’t believe when I heard it was Sujata calling me! I called her back and the woman on the other end was so warm and caring. An appointment was set up and the rest is history!

I had blood work done to look at my thyroid and the way Sujata really looks into breaking it down found I wasn’t converting which was contributing to my issues, even though a Doctor would look at one number and say I was within normal range. Luckily Sujata felt a regimen of vitamins was what I needed. I started to feel the difference within weeks and almost a year later I could honestly say I felt 100%. My quality of life was so different and I was enjoying every day again. Sujatais a wonderful woman who just wants to help people. She sympathizes and really listens. I feel I am not just her client but her friend!” – Cheri Obert
